Type 2 Diabetes – What Needs to Change?

We have A LOT of data and we want to share it. We are conducting a longitudinal study examining how people change their diet after finding out they have type 2 diabetes. The methods of the study are here: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/30642072

The numbers are well over 250 people who we have followed for 12 months and collected information on their diet, demographic, anthropometric, medical, physical activity, mental health, attitudes, health professional interactions and pathology. This is a highly novel cohort and there are few cohorts in the world who have tracked people since diagnosis with type 2 diabetes.

We have more data than we know what to do with! We have over 1000 days of dietary data plus data that we are only using as covariates to examine our primary research question. We are seeking interested researchers who want to use the data to analyse research questions they may have. For example, researchers in the field of physical activity, mental health and pathology. We want to make best use of the data and support other researchers who don’t have the facilities or capacity to collect this data.
